What Is Better For A KA-BAR Knife Cover/Holder? - bar glass holders

What would be best for a knife Ka-Bar / cover. Because I buy a Ka-Bar knife and wants to know what you like best and I think is best.

I love Ka-bars, which have made a good choice. In any case, go with the glass-filled nylon. The reason for this is that you want a knife sheath that contains very little sound. I was hiking in the Gila wilderness with a group of young people for many years. One carried a hunting knife in a leather case as shown. I was driving on a hill, he slipped and fell. In this process drag on the hill on his stomach, the knife sheath and stabbed him just below the rib cage. I kept applying pressure, while the other ran for help. The result was a Medivac helicopter. He recovered completely, but it has taught me the need for adequate coverage.

I have 1 and am in my 2nd In the K-bar I bought in the 81st Not even plastic is then formed. With leather, the top of the gondola, and led through the maintenance of tight leather strap. If you dry out wet (often). I've never had a problem with my rusty knife. I do not know how much plastic to protect against them. Can easily dried when it is wet in them? If not dig spilled on the leather, or you. Certainly not rattle against the other gear, rock, etc.

The plastic is very durable. It seems that we never use the seat belt.

Seem to both have their advantages and disadvantages. You can always another case later.

Glass-filled nylon or a tool such as gastro-intestinal --

More protection in all climates and stronger.

Can not keep the leather in wetlands in the tape to the bottom, top and bottom, so you do not flop around.

Nylon. Weather resistant and stronger.

I do not know whether one is better than the other, I think I should try to see. I choose me a nylon.
